East End Zone

Phase 1 is completed at Clemson University's Memorial Stadium.

McGillicuddy Concrete was thrilled to have been asked to work on the new East End Zone at Clemson University’s football stadium. In partnership with general contractor Brasfield & Gorrie, McGillicuddy Concrete created the footings, foundation, and walls for the new scoreboard, which is the eighth largest in the NCAA, and only the second largest in the ACC!

Because of the magnitude of this 125-feet-wide, 58-feet-tall scoreboard, our team at McGillicuddy had custom, extra-large bolts fabricated to secure this foundation. Some of the bolts were taller than our crew members!

Additionally, we created new walls for the area. This was a complex job, but a very rewarding one for our team. Our crew can’t help but feel proud to have created such a strong foundation for this eye-catching, new feature of Clemson’s Memorial Stadium.
